Food Lives in Tower Hamlets

Our Research Findings Film

We produced a short 8-minute film to introduce some of our research findings and share some of our methods from the Food Lives project. The aim of the project is 'to reimagine how food policy, food products and food supply chains can be developed' in an effort to 'address a lack of access to healthy, culturally appropriate sustainable food.'

Shazna and Sajna are community researchers from British Bangladeshi backgrounds and live in Tower Hamlets. Julie is British-born Chinese and works for the Women's Environmental Network (Wen) and Elaine is white British, lives in Tower Hamlets, and works at the University of Sussex. Our project is part of a larger study called FoodSEqual, funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and led by the University of Reading.
